Crystal clear walking at Scar House
Scar House was striking when we set out yesterday. We were a long thin line of children and adults of varying walking speeds, accompanying dogs and at at least one toddler bike. It was an amazing day to be in Upper Nidderdale. Without the family factor this would be a straightforward walk along flat ground and a clearly marked path, but we were here on a sponsored walk for school and things were a little more chaotic on our day out. Flying High in Ripon
All the fun of the fair without huge crowds! We could not have wished for better luck when we visited Lightwater Valley during half term. A stroll around grassy parkland shaded in part by cedar trees took us to pirate land, angry birds, an old fashioned fairground, mines and a variety of water slides and roller coasters.
